Personal Bio:
Upon graduation from the U of M, Taylor began working for Davis Engineering where he worked on several Residential Subdivision Projects in West Tennessee and Northern Mississippi. Due to the nature of this type of work, he was able to gain knowledge of the intricacies and pitfalls of dealing with municipal planning departments and complicated developments codes while navigating the, sometimes difficult, aspects of local political realities . The decline of the housing market in 2008, led to a shift in focus from residential subdivisions to commercial developments. After completing designs for several 10,000-15,000 square foot retail facilities, Taylor left  Davis Engineering and briefly worked at AFRAM, Inc. which was based in St. Louis, MO. These projects focused on municipal projects, including street improvements and school expansions. Taylor then joined, Memphis based, Pickering Firm and worked primarily on new construction and expansions for Kroger facilities in Tennessee, Mississippi, Arkansas and Kansas. Prior to starting Rockfield Engineering with co-owner Morgan Falls, Taylor partnered with his former college professor for 6 years to grow and run Mid-South Consulting, Inc. which is based in Florence, MS where he was the principal engineer in charge of Land Development and Stormwater Management. Projects consisted of Commercial and Industrial Site Design along with Municipal Solid Waste Landfill Design. Taylor's former business partner, Dr. Calvin Abernathy, still has Mid-South Consulting going strong and should definitly be one of the first places to call for Solid Waste or Water/Wastewater Design. Also, for the last 7 years Taylor has served as an Adjunct Professor at University of Memphis for CIVL-2101 "Civil Engineering Visualization" and on occassion, CIVL-4180/6180 "Advanced Hydraulics and Hydrology"
